Our Pediatric team specializes in caring for critically ill patients ranging in age from infants, to adolescents and up to 21 years old. In addition to providing expert care for critically ill patients, you offer emotional support along with educational opportunities to families as well. Some of our patients require complex medical care intermittently for many years, so you develop close relationships over time with the patient and family. Your expertise may include providing services to patients and families for days, weeks or longer! As a Pediatrics RN, you must be a self-starter, critical thinker, team player, compassionate, with a desire to learn continuously! This team works together, to see that the highest level of patient care is given, and that each team member is supported to be successful in their nursing career.

Under the immediate direction of the unit Director/Nurse Manager/Supervisor or other designated clinical management as assigned, develops expertise in the care of a specific patient population/nursing diagnosis.
