Dupont Hospital - Team Coordinator (Supervisor) RN - Birthplace
Under the immediate supervision of the Birthplace Team Specialist or other designated management, performs first line management of operations within the Birthplace inpatient units. Includes decisions concerning nursing practice, planning, staffing, discipline, evaluation, problem solving as well as any other leadership tasks as assigned. Provides direct patient care according to unit needs.

Demonstrates through working knowledge of multidisciplinary care planning, as well as nursing procedures, equipment utilized and strong knowledge of applicable regulations of the Medical/Pediatric populations.
Requires strong working knowledge of the normal growth, development, related behaviors, needs, comfort, and range of treatment appropriate to the age and diagnosis of patient served in order to support the provision of an individualized multidisciplinary plan of care.

Pre-admission Testing - pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
Surgery - pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric
Post Anesthesia Care - pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
Pre-Surgery - pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
Emergency - pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
Requires strong analytical and organizational skills to prepare and maintain various documentation/reports, supervise activities of staff and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
Requires group cohesion and communication skills promoting teamwork and group achievement.
Demonstrates well developed interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) necessary to interact effectively with all internal and external customers.

Requirements
Current state licensure as a RN. BCLS & FEMA NIMS modules ICS-100 and ICS-200 within 30 days of hire, EKG-AACN & NRP w/in 90 days, STABLE & ACLS w/in 6 months. Experience: Min of 2 yrs in clinical nursing in a hospital setting which included charge nurse/equivalent responsibilities. Required to have exp in more than one clinical area of the Birthplace or orient to other clinical areas w/in 90 days
